Cadet Fall Campout

Wedding Reception in Augusta

We were invited to attend a wedding reception for Paul's IBM colleague Steve Perun. Steve and Sheila were married in Lake Tahoe at the end of May. They honeymooned in Hawaii and returned home to Augusta, Georgia, to host their reception. Kelli watched the girls and Paul's parents took the boys for the weekend so we could both attend. We flew to Atlanta on Friday afternoon and drove thru terrible rain and traffic jams to Augusta. We arrived in time to attend a little party for visiting IBMers. Def Leppard

This afternoon I took the boys to the Van Andel Arena downtown Grand Rapids to see Def Leppard. I am not making this up. Andy's birthfather, Chad, works for Def Leppard, the popular British heavy metal band from the 80s. So, since Def Leppard was in Grand Rapids as part of their nationwide tour, Chad took us backstage in the afternoon during the band's sound check.
